  1. Thanks Luanne- 4 cups 0 pt liquid (water) boiled and 0 point veggies = 12 pts I don;t think the policy can possibly explain that (12 servings 1 pt each). There appears to be quite a few glitches and missing products in etools- at least in our neck of the woods.

This has less stuff than the former 0 pt soup (do they still have that?)

I saw a recipe on the WW site yesterday that was for Fresh Vegetable Soup. I'm pretty sure it's the same as the 0 point Garden Vegetable Soup that was used during the Momentum plan. I believe the points value for it is now 1 point per serving.

  2. I am not a happy camper about it going from 2 points on the old system to 4 points on the new system because I only get 5 more daily points and 2 will go to this oatmeal. I used to eat it almost daily-sigh!

But you have more weekly points as well! I say if you like something that much, then you should use your weekly points on it. I know I would!

  3. I'm bumping this thread because I'm making this tonight and the points values have changed under the new PointsPlus program. I actually plugged in the weight of my package of chicken. Just for reference, the biscuits listed are the small rolls of regular Pillsbury biscuit dough. Enjoy!

    Crock Pot Chicken & Dumplings

    Course: main meals

    PointsPlus™ Value: 8

    Servings: 6

    Preparation Time: 5 min

    Cooking Time: 300 min

    Level of Difficulty: Easy

30 oz uncooked boneless, skinless chicken breast

    608 gm Campbell's 98% Fat-Free Cream Of Chicken Soup, 2 Cans 1/2 cup(s) onion(s), Finely Chopped

212 gm biscuit, prepared from refrigerated dough, 1 Roll of small Pillsbury Biscuits

Place the chicken, soup, and onion in a slow cooker and fill with enough water to cover.

Cover the slow cooker and cook for 5-6 hours on high.

About 30 minutes before serving, tear each biscuit into 3 pieces and cook until dough is no longer raw in the middle.

  4. CW - Congrats on your 5%! That's a wonderful accomplishment!

As for the plan, almost everything about it is good for me.

-Free fruit! I love that when I'm low or out of points, I still have options and can stay on plan!

-Renewed sense of motivation. I'm super-motivated about the plan now because it's something new.

-The fact that this plan nudges you towards healthier options without you having to conciously think about it.

-It's a little harder to go grocery shopping now because I knew the points of everything before.

-I miss the check-off boxes for your WPA in the 3 month journal.

-I have to recalculate my recipes.

Keep in mind though, the negatives are not bad at all. They aren't major issues for me. The positives definitely outweigh the negative!

  5. I bought the kit because, in the past, I've relied heavily on the Dining Out Companion. That, and I wanted the calculator and journal. Plus, this new member's kit is WAY nicer than the last one they rolled out with the cheap drawstring baggie. I LOVE the binder it comes in. Very nice!

  6. When I was the most successful at my WW meetings, the room consisted of 20 or less people. I loved it that way because I knew everyone and we were all sort of like friends. I don't think being in a room packed full of strangers would help me any more than the one I went to. I guess it's to each their own! I'm not the kind of person who likes big crowds, so maybe it's just me?

  7. Theresa - I've never had the cinnamon raisin flavor, but I looked for it at Kroger the other day after I read about it on your blog. Hopefully we get them here soon.

The Everything flavor bagel thin is my favorite! I love to toast it, put a little spray butter on it, and some garlic powder to make a crispy garlic bread. Yummo!

  8. Sorry I haven't been around the last few days. Work is killing me. I don't get time to get on at work like I used to. I'm doing pretty good. Although, I do have a serious head cold now. Ugh. One side of my sinuses keeps stopping up. I wake up in the middle of the night because my nose has clogged in my sleep and I've started breathing through my mouth. Apparently, when I breathe through my mouth in my sleep it causes my mouth to dry out and my lips to crack open. It's a nasty feeling. Yuck! I seriously hope I get over it soon.

  9. Karen - Yes, it is shocking! I just get in these funks every so often where I feel like it's unfair that I have to count points and obsess over food all the time in order to even maintain. I know I need to just face the fact that I am going to have a weight problem for life if I don't stick with Weight Watchers. I absolutely CANNOT eat whatever I want to eat when I want to eat it. I have to at least think about it some.

Marla - I'm glad you've been losing! I hate TOM too. I gain anywhere between 2 and 5 lbs during that time. I usually skip my WI if I've started within 3 days. I always wait until the next week. I'm sure that's not going with the WW rules, but I don't see the point in weighing in if I know I've gained from TOM. It's only going to get me depressed. I've been trying to up my water too. I love my coffee too much! I drink it from 7:30 until 12pm. It keeps me from eating since there aren't many things that taste good with coffee. LOL

  10. Are any of you ladies still around? I miss you all so much! I'm finally back on WW. After not being on WW at all for 2 months I managed to gain 25.2 lbs! I was SO shocked when I stepped on the scale and saw that yesterday morning. Not to mention depressed. I'm POP now and I'm going to stick to it. I have a vacation coming up in August, but I'm not going to let it affect my weight loss. That was my mistake before and I'm not doing that again. I hope some of you are still around the boards. I miss you guys!

  11. Hi ladies. I know I haven't checked in here for a while and I'm sorry for that. There's been a lot going on. We've been super busy at work, my body pain started to return at the beginning of June, and I just found out yesterday that I have a Cholesteatoma in my right ear. The doctor says that I'll need to see an Ear Nose and Throat specialist and have surgery or I'll go deaf in my right ear. My other doctor thinks I have a food allergy that's causing the body pain I've been dealing with for forever. When the pain came back, I got so upset and I haven't been on plan since my vacation week at the very first of June. I just can't seem to find my motivation anymore. I know I've gained, but I can't force myself to get on the scale to see how much. I'm really going to try to start on Monday. I'm trying to psych myself up for it. Wish me luck!

Theresa - Congrats on moving into your house! How did the move go? I hope everything is good with your dad! (((hugs)))

Liz - I'm sorry you had such a bad AF when you got back from Texas. Did you end up getting back on plan? How's your DD doing? I know her dad had her for a while and you were missing her. I hope things are good with you!

Karen - I was reading your blog, but I haven't seen any posts on there in a while. How are things with you? I hope everything is okay!

Trish - Where are ya sweetie? I hope everything is going well with you!

  12. Hi ladies. Long time no chat! What happened to everyone?

I'm back from my vacation. Actually, I was back yesterday but I was so swamped with all the jobs that my co-workers left for me to do that I didn't even get to take my full lunch. I hate coming back from vacation! How is everyone doing?

  13. Hey ladies. I just wanted to stop by and let you all know I'm still alive! I took Friday off from work and I'm on vacation this week so I won't be around. We spent the weekend at the lake and I got sunburned! I'm still recuperating right now. We're getting ready to go to Lowe's and get some paint and other stuff to fix some things around the house, so I plan on being busy the next few days. I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend! :)
