  1. Liz - Yikes about the sunburn! I hope it goes in quickly and you don't peel! I'm sorry that you're going to be so sad when Lilli is gone in June. I can't imagine being away from DD for that long either. And I SO get what you're saying about them growing up so fast. I feel like it was just yesterday that DD was a baby. Now she's huge and won't let me hug her or kiss her. She's too independent! Great job on staying OP and the turkey taco salad sounds delish! Lee - Thanks!

I’m glad you’re feeling better now. I’m glad you got to spend some uninterrupted time with your mom on Saturday night. Yikes about losing the earring though! I hate it when I lose things! I really hope you can find it. I’m glad everyone complimented you on how great you look this weekend! That’s got to be an ego boost! Great job on staying OP and tracking all weekend. That’s a WONDERFUL accomplishment! Liz – Congrats to Lilli on her dedication at church! And congrats to you for finally getting the ex to sign the divorce papers! Mine is too, and has been since she turned one year old! She can throw the biggest fits over the silliest stuff. Sofi – I’m glad you had a nice Mother’s Day! Bummer about losing your pedometer, but I’m glad you found it at home! No, we didn’t end up going to the movies after all. Karen - Hey girlie! My ear is definitely better and I'm doing well. Thanks for asking! How are you my dear? AFM – I was super busy at work yesterday so I didn’t get a chance to check in. Here’s how my weekend went. Friday: I went home and made a home made veggie pizza. My sister just ended up coming over to my house after DD went to sleep and we watched “It’s Complicated”. It was pretty cute! I stayed perfectly OP. Saturday: My sister wanted to take my mom out to eat for Mother’s Day and she let my mom pick where to go. Well, my mom had never been to the Cheesecake Factory so that’s what she picked. I quickly pulled out the laptop and went to Hungry Girl because I knew they had done an e-mail about the CF before. I found it and decided what I was going to order right then and there. We went to CF and I ordered what I had planned and did really, really well. I ordered the Weight Management Chicken (HORRIBLE name!). It was actually REALLY tasty! My mom decided she wanted to order a slice of cheesecake since we were at the CF and that’s what they’re known for. I took my spoon and got just enough on there to get a taste and that’s all I had! I’m so proud of myself! Sunday – We went to my uncle’s house for Mother’s Day. My grandmother was there too. They did a cookout-type of dinner with just hot dogs and watermelon and stuff. We also had some of the Lay’s Fat Free chips. I did good there as well. All in all, I feel really good about my choices over the weekend. I did well last night too. I ended up having to take off work an hour early to go to the county clerk’s office because of a license plate issue with the new vehicle. After that was over, DH and I decided to go out to eat (Yes…we eat out A LOT!) at Chili’s. I got a cup of the green chile chicken soup along with the grilled chicken carribean salad. It was all very tasty and OP!

  7. Karen - Greta job with the workout planning after work. It think 9 points sounds totally doable. Do you typically eat your activity points? Yay for all of the planning you've done for the weekend! I have a feeling you're going to do great this weekend! I might try the "out loud" thing if we do go to the movies. I've done it before though, and it didn't work. It's the smell I think. Once I smell it, I have to have it. I bought the Moonlit Path at BBW a couple of months ago. I actually went kind of crazy there. They were having this buy any item, get an item free....plus, if you bought any of the perfumes, you also got a free shower gel to match. I ended up buying Moonlit Path, 2 of the Twilight Woods (one was for a co-worker's birthday), Honeysuckle, Butterfly Flower, and something citrusy....can't remember the name of it. So, with all that I ended up getting 3 free shower gels. It was nuts! I have enough perfume to last a long time, but I think the Moonlit Path is my favorite.
  8. Liz - I could sneak in my own popcorn, but I'm a connoisseur of movie popcorn. The microwave stuff (even the buttery kind) doesn't even come close in my opinion. So, even if it is 30 points, it's worth it to me. I was thinking if I was drinking a starbucks drink, I wouldn't want the popcorn because they are like opposite on my snack radar...if that makes any sense. I feel like I'm deprived when I try to substitute with the microwave popcorn because it's such a generic version of what I really want. I always get it without butter because the butter causes some severe gastrointestinal problems with me. And I never get a large...though I could easily eat one! I don't even know if movies are in the works this weekend, I was just thinking....just in case. Theresa - I'm glad you're feeling better about your plans! It's great that they at least understand what's going on with your stomach so you won't feel like a stick in the mud if you have to leave early. I hope your weekend is a fun one!
  9. Karen - Congrats to your mom for losing a size on WW! I think a new outfit is the perfect gift for her! I'm glad you're happy today, I am too. I'm still busy, but I'm not letting it get to me. I'm trying to stay calm. Ha! I'm SO glad you weren't a part of the accident. And that's a wonderful way to look at being tied up in accident-traffic. I'm wearing Moonlight Path from Bath & Body Works today. I have the matching shower gel and perfume. I actually splurged on the PERFUME, not the body spray. It caught me off guard because my nose gets used to whatever I'm wearing, so I kinda forgot I had it on! Liz - Wow...Chik-Fil-A almost every day? I would definitely gain! I like your plan for dinner tonight. "In case a nugget falls into my mouth"....Bahaha! I love the way you're planning for the dream cone because you know you'll feel deprived if you don't. Great job! Your plan for the weekend sounds like a good one too! YAY for not having a cheeseburger for lunch! You're doing fabulous! Theresa - It sounds like you're prepared for packing. I love that you're organized and are making a list! I hope you can get out of the bar right after happy hour! I'm not much of a crowd person myself! AFM - I never did touch the breakfast goodies that the co-workers brought in today. It didn't even phase me. I think it helps that I'm busy working, so I don't have time to sit and think about what kind of snack I'm going to eat. I got to thinking, since my sister is coming into town tonight, we might go to the movies. We haven't planned it or anything, but typically my sis and I go to the movies together because we like the same kinds of movies. I know she said she wants to spend time with me, so I'm being proactive. I have a real issue at the movie theatre. Movie popcorn is my FAVORITE food....ever. I've only been to the movies once where I didn't eat popcorn and that was because I wasn't feeling good from the dinner we'd just eaten. Anyway, I'm thinking that I may try to have a Starbucks drink instead of popcorn if we go. It's something completely different and it wouldn't taste good with popcorn. Plus, it would keep my mouth occupied during the movie. I have the flex for popcorn, but I'm just trying to come up with an alternative plan. In other news, I just discovered that Applebee's posted their entire menu's nutrition information online! I'm stoked about this, well except the fact that my beloved Oriental Chicken Rollup is pretty much off limits! CLICK!
  10. On a side note. A male customer came in just a while ago and said "Wow! You smell good!". That kind of made my day. People I don't know usually don't give me compliments!
  11. Liz - Great job on the loss and all the NSVs girl! I think the fact that you didn't eat out this week really helped! Do you plan on sticking with that? What do you typically get that's OP at Chik-Fil-A? I've only been there 2 or 3 times, and each time I was definitely not OP! Trish - Great job on the loss girl....and for rocking the Mexican lunch yesterday! I love that you took the lettuce in the middle of the plate and made a salad out of it with salsa. Very creative! As for the wedding dress, have you thought about putting it on Craig's List? I know when I took my baby swing and jumperoo to Once Upon a Child, I totally got robbed. OUAC is really good for clothes, but they don't give you much for equipment, even if it is in almost brand new shape! I'm sure you'll do great this weekend, especially if you're packing up stuff in the garage. I know you'll break a sweat and earn some APs! As for my dinner on Sunday, I'm not sure what kind of meal it's going to be. The last time, we just did appetizer-ish type things. If that's the case, then I can totally make my spinach dip and bring some low fat crackers to go with it. Thanks about my loss! I already re-calculated my points and I've lost a point per day. Not a big deal though because I know it means I'm being successful! Karen - I'm sorry you're bummed about the orientation being canceled. Just keep looking at the positive side of things! If it had been this summer, you wouldn't have gotten to do it anyway! I'll pray that you get it in the fall! You're welcome about me commenting on your blog. It's interesting and well-written! I haven't had a chance to read all of your posts yet though! I don't know what DH will do for me this year. He won't be home from his route until tomorrow morning and then he goes back out on Sunday afternoon. I won't get a whole lot of time with him this weekend. Hopefully he at least gets me a card though! I got my MIL some really nice pajamas from Kohl's. The top and bottom were $20 a piece and that was on sale! They felt really really good though. I kinda want some. LOL! I got my mom a purse that looks just like mine, except it's a different color. She's always going on about how much she likes it, except that the color isn't for her. I got her one in a neutral color. She always wears black and she needs to change it up, so I got the purse in a bone color. I thought it was neutral and should look good in the summer. AFM - I'm rocking it today. One of my co-workers brought in a big old box of doughnuts and apple fritters. I haven't even touched them! I'm using my loss as motivation for once, instead of using it as an excuse to slack off my plan!
  12. Theresa - Yes, I get the Hungry Girl e-mails every day. All personal e-mails are blocked at work though, so I don't get a chance to read them very often. It's not unusual for me to open my personal e-mail at home and have 100+ e-mails to read. I always glance at them and usually if they look like something I need to keep, I put them in my Hungry Girl folder. Half the time I don't get the chance to go back and check them out later though. Hmmm....maybe I need to sign up for the e-mails using my work address! I always have time to check my work e-mail. LOL Good luck going out this weekend. I'm not much of a "bar-going" type of girl. I don't like attention on me and I don't dance. Not just because it makes me so self-concious and anxious that I could pass out, but mostly because I just CAN'T dance. I'm horribly uncoordinated! It sounds like you have a good plan in place for your night out tonight and your dinner with your mom. You can't go wrong with minestrone soup! Thanks about my loss!   13. Sofi - Good for you for deciding to hide the scale once you realized it was self-destructive. I know a lot of women have issues with weighing themselves all the time. I used to, but I kind of got over it. I'm sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth. I had all 4 of mine cut out a few years ago. It's not fun, but it wasn't horrible either. Just be careful afterwards to not drink out of a straw or breathe through your mouth. That's how you get "dry socket". I didn't get it because I was so paranoid of getting it and very careful. AFM - I'm feeling pretty good this morning. I just had my greek yogurt with granola and agave nectar. Unfortunately, I'm busy again today. Hopefully today I can get caught up at work. I hate feeling like I'm never going to get done. I weighed in this morning and I was down 2.9 lbs! Yay! I think it's because my body was holding on to some of my weight last week, so it finally let go this week. LOL. My sister is coming into town tonight and she wants to have dinner with mom and me either tonight or tomorrow night. I'm not sure which yet. Mom also informed me yesterday that we're having a get-together at my uncle's house on Sunday for Mother's Day. So, once again, another meal. It seems like this weekend may be a challenge food-wise. I'm not giving up though, I've done so great the last 2 weeks that I'm not going to let anything get in my way. I have no idea what's on the menu for any day this weekend, but I'm going to make wise choices and I'm going to work out either tonight or tomorrow morning to get some activity points. Who knows....I may work out Sunday morning as well.
  14. Sofi - Here's the recipe that I found on the internet. Mine was different, because my package of chicken had more weight to it than 1 lb. Crock Pot Chicken 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast 1-16 oz. container of fat free sour cream 1 Envelope of Lipton Onion Soup mix 1-10.75 oz. can of Campbell's Healthy Request Cream of Mushroom soup --Put chicken into bottom of crock pot. --Mix remaining 3 ingredients in a bowl and pour on top of chicken. --Cook on low for 6-7 hours. --6 servings @ 4 points per serving.
  15. Trish - I hope your lunch with DH at the Mexican place was OP! Let us know how it went! Theresa - Chili's used to have a black bean burger actually listed on the menu. It had light ranch dressing, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Now, you can only swap the meat patty on one of their burgers with the black bean patty. I just kind of built my own black bean burger by telling them what I wanted on it. I love their black bean burgers! Liz - Great job on walking today! How did the rest of your afternoon go with the snacking? Sofi - Great job walking on your lunch! How did the rest of your afternoon go? AFM - The crock pot chicken was pretty tasty. DH and DD loved it. The sauce reminded me of french onion dip!

  17. Karen – I love the idea of your blog! I checked it out, so cute! I had a blog at one time, but it got to be where I didn’t have anything to write about, so I canceled it after having it for 2 years or so. I think it was on Xanga. As for my ear, it’s about the same. It definitely hasn’t cleared up yet. Tuesday night at my mom’s wasn’t so bad. I just hate having to pack everything to take over there and then packing everything to take back home. It’s just a pain the butt and I always seem to forget something when packing or repacking. Great job on staying OP at the Cinco De Mayo get-together! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you get the spinning class! Theresa – I’m so sorry to hear about your stomach problems being a pain. I really hope you are feeling better and they don’t come back for a while! Great job getting in 3 miles yesterday! Congrats to your mom for getting the Teacher of the Year award! That’s wonderful! Sofi – I’m glad you and DH had a good talk and that you plan on talking about it more in the future. It always feels good to get the communication lines opened up. I haven’t had a doctor’s appointment since I talked to you last. I just had the one and I’m waiting for the antibiotic to kick in. I have to stay on them for 10 days. My ear is pretty much the same right now, though the ringing in it isn’t so loud. Liz – You crack me up with your p00p jokes! I’m glad the Dorito’s casserole was a big hit with you and Lilli. I hope it doesn’t affect you today after lunch either! I definitely hear you about the body changing and it’s harder to lose weight. I’m the same way. I was 27 when I first started WW and the weight came of super-fast. Now I’m 30 and it’s way harder than it was before! Trish – (((skinny vibes))) for you for your WI tomorrow. I WI tomorrow morning too! Great job on staying OP last night and just having a small portion of the garlic bread. Bread and carbs are my weakness….well one of them! I could eat nothing but carbs for every meal. AFM – I’m sorry it took me so long to post today. I’m SLAMMED at work and I’ve been trying to write these personals for 2 hours now in between jobs. I have 7 more jobs lined up when this one is done. I like having a little work throughout the day but I hate it when everything orders everything at once. Last night we ate out unexpectedly because we were shopping for Mother’s Day. We ended up going to Chili’s and I stayed perfectly within my points by ordering the black bean burger with no sauce or cheese and the steamed veggies. DD ate like a HOSS! She got the chicken crispers and ate every one of them plus the whole dish of mandarin oranges they brought her. Usually, when we go out to eat, she doesn’t eat much. Maybe it’s a growth spurt? Not to mention the fact that between the time she got home and the time we went out to eat, she’d already had 1 banana, a cup of applesauce, and a package of gummi fruits. Crazy child! So we shopped for my MIL and my mom and ended up spending $100 at Kohl’s. And that was with 15% off! Yikes! They better like the gifts we bought them….just sayin’. For tonight, I have some crock pot chicken recipe in the slow cooker for when we get home. I’ve never had it before and all it has in it is 1 package Lipton onion soup mix, 1 container of FF sour cream, 1 can of ff cream of mushroom soup, and 1 package of chicken. We shall see!
  18. Trish - WTG on getting the coleslaw salad for lunch! What do you do, just mix some coleslaw mix and salad together? You're right, the catalina may not be bad with ACV mixed into it. I might not even notice it. I think I may give it a try the next time I have a salad. Great job on the squats and butt crunches too! I was browsing Fitness Magazine's website and happened upon this video that is specific for getting moms back into shape after baby. There are quite a few moves in the video that look interesting and I haven't seen before. I thought this might be useful for us! CLICK! OT - I just realized that you, Liz, and I are all within 5 lbs at our current weights...weird!

  20. Trish - I've thought about the ACV supplements, but if I were to take them, I'd still drink the 2 TBSP in the morning too. From what I've read, the supplements aren't as good with health issues as the straight vinegar is. I don't want to do anything to compromise how well it's been helping my joints, so I'm going to continue to drink it every morning for now. I'm sure the Hepatologist is going to be very suprised when I go back on the 12th with no pain and no meds. I think making a vinegarette out of the ACV would be a good idea. I won't do it, but only because I don't like vinegarette dressing. Ranch and Catalina are the only two I like. LOL Karen - Don't worry about being behind. We just love it when you do get a chance to pop in and say hello! I'm sorry you were sick on Monday, but I'm glad you're feeling better now. Great job on practicing your spin class on your spinner! I know you're going to do great! Good luck on your WW interview/orientation on Saturday! I know you'll do great! Our window was locked when the person broke in. It's just that they are really old, aluminum framed, windows and they're not very reliable. Anyone could push on it and knock the pane off it's old tracks. The tracks bend too easily. We REALLY need new windows, but the house is on the market and we didn't see any sense in investing something we'll have to pay off for many years in a house that we wouldn't be in. Our contract with the realtor is up in a few days, so we may revisit the idea of new windows again. I probably won't go to a doctor until I have run the full-course of antibiotics which is 10 days.
  21. Theresa - Your plan for Chipotle sounds like how I eat at Qdoba. I usually get a naked burrito which is a burrito without the tortilla. I usually get chicken, beans, salsa, and a tiny bit of cheese. I think making your breakfast up ahead of time is a really good idea. I did that on Friday. I made a baked oatmeal muffin recipe that was only 1 point per muffin. I bagged them up 2 to a baggie and I've been bringing those to work this week. I ate my last ones today though, so I guess I'll go back to my eggs in a mug that I was eating last week.
  22. Trish - The ACV is still helping with my pain. Like I said, I'm off of Ibuprofen now when I was up to 12 a day. That's huge! I'm not sure if it's really helped with the hunger or not. I only take it in the morning when I first get up. I know some people drink 2 TBSP of it in water before every meal. I don't know if I could do that or not. It's all I can handle to drink the 2 TBSP in the morning! I've heard that you can put honey in it to make it tastier, but I don't even know if that would help the taste much. Hmmm. I did do really well last week food-wise so maybe the ACV is curbing hunger? Or maybe it's just me making better choices and staying fuller longer...I can't really tell you which. Going to Target sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking of going there some time soon because it's the closest store to my work (still takes me at least 15-20 mins to get there!) and I can go on my lunch and just eat my lunch at my desk when I get back. I want to get a Wii game...I think it's called EA sports or something like that. It's a workout game. Liz - Thanks for sharing the link! It is great to see that even the CEO still struggles with the same things we do. Marla - I'm sorry you're feeling so stressed! If you need to talk, you know we'll always listen! Great job on the big loss, even if it was from stress. When I'm stressed, I eat more and gain!

Liz - Sorry to hear you had a bleeding ear! Yikes! WTG on staying OP at Cracker Barrel! That place is a pig-out fest for me. Especially with the dumplings. Those are my favorite. I'm so glad you're rocking the plan and feeling motivated! Sofi - I tried to find a GP a few months ago. I made an appointment and went, but I ended up hating the doctor. He was so rude and brash that I refuse to go back to him. I've heard his wife (who is in the same practice) is the complete opposite of him and I can make an appointment with her, so I may do that soon. I want to see if these antibiotics kick in first. (((hugs))) I'm sorry that you and your DH don't see eye-to-eye on the weight loss issue. It sounds like you all aren't communicating well. Will he listen if you sit him down and tell him just how important this is to you?
  24. Trish - I'm sorry to hear about your slip up yesterday, but definitely :bcb_kick: for going off plan! I know that sometimes it's hard to see the skinny people around you eating what they want all the time (DH is one of them!), but we just have to accept the fact that WE have to plan for that kind of stuff. Hopefully you had enough flex to cover your dinner last night. Did you end up having the Tilapia and 0 point veggies like you planned? I'm kind of lucky in the fact that I work at a park (Appliance Park...it's big enough to have it's own zip code) and there are no restaurants in the park. If I want to go out to eat, I have to walk up the hill (it's quite a long trek!) and through a turnstile, and all the way to my car in the huge parking lot (another trek) and then drive out of the park to go somewhere. By the time I do all that and then walk back down the hill, I don't really have time for lunch. My weakness is the food that other co-workers bring into our lunch room. At any given time, there are 4 jars of peanut butter in there. 2 are creamy and 2 are crunchy. And there's an abundance of crackers. I could really really overdo it on any given day with PB if I'm not in the right frame of mind. I just have to keep bringing foods that interest me and keep switching it up so I don't get bored with my choices. Sometimes it's hard, but I just have to tell myself that what I'm doing is worth so much more than some PB. KWIM? I think your plan of not eating out unless it's absolutely necessary is a good one! AFM - I finally went to the doctor last night. I don't know if I mentioned it, but when I was sick about a week and a half ago, I started getting some pain in my right ear. It only lasted a day or so and then went away. I figured it was just fluid pressure from being sick. Well, about a week ago, my ear started feeling like it was clogged up and I couldn't hear out of it. Recently, it's started ringing and it's kind of throwing my equilibrium off a bit. I can hear all the noises inside my head but I can't hear anything outside of that ear. The doctor told me I have an ear infection and that my ear is red, angry, and very abnormal looking. He said I really need to get it checked out by my regular doctor....which I don't have one. WTH is an abnormal ear? I asked him if the infection could be causing my hearing loss and he said possibly. So, apparently there's a chance that the antibiotics will not take care of my hearing problem. I surely hope so because it's starting to drive me crazy. As far as food goes, I'm doing really well. I've been tracking and staying OP every day. I had Subway last night before I went to the doctor. It gave me horrible onion breath though....those onions were STOUT! I was so paranoid that the doctor could smell the onion when he was looking at my throat. I chewed gum before I went in there, but still.
  25. Theresa - I'm sorry to hear about your DBF's jeep getting broken into! I hate it when people blatantly damage other peoples' belongings like that. A few months ago, we had someone shlash 2 tires on each of our vehicles. It really pi$$ed me off that, if my parents didn't live in the town I do, I wouldn't have had anyone to come help me get new ones. Not to mention all the money we were out for new tired. Add onto that the fact that I have a baby in the house and what if there was an emergency! As for the 0-point soup, I substitute some of the veggies too. I take the carrots out and add squash in.
