  1. I was successful with ww about 10 years ago. I have gained the weight back and now due to severe insulin resistance my doc wants me to follow a low carb high protein plan. Is that doable with the latest version of ww?
  2. This sounds fantastic. I couldn't live without my crock-pot and can't wait to try this. I can make it on a Sunday and warm it up during the week. Thanks!
  3. Hi there, I use steel cut oats to make crock pot oatmeal and I LOVE it. I can't eat instant or quick oats anymore. I cook it for 8 hours over night, then I add in whatever items I'm in the mood for in the morning. Sometimes it's dried fruit (which can be cooked along with it), sometimes it's just a little cinnamon or my favorite--peanut butter. It's 2 cups of steel cut oats to 8 cups of water. Cook on low 7-8 hours. You can add dried fruit to the oats when you cook it. Hope this helps!
  4. This sounds really yummy. However, I've never cooked with lentils. Are these dried right out of the bag, or is there some other version of lentils ? I guess I'm lentil challenged...LOL
  5. Hi there, The reason I chose WW was it was not a restrictive "diet." I don't have to give up my favorite foods, or entire food groups. It teaches you to plan, and make healthy choices. I hate to sound like a cliche, but it's a lifestyle change. I could never follow other plans that make you eliminate food groups, or never go out to eat again. I needed a plan that I could live with for life. So far it's working! Like you, I put a lot of effort and research into what plan I chose. I finally decided on WW, and I'm glad I did. Good luck!
  6. I have the same problem, on 3 different computers. Like others who replied, I click save a lot during the process. I love what the tool does. I just wish it was more stable. Hopefully that will come with time.
  7. Hi there, I use WW online, and I just checked my progress chart to see what it said. My chart shows the words 10% (that is the first WW goal for me) all the way to the right. I don't think they are suggesting a date by doing this. I believe it's just there to show you that the straight line of the chart represents your WW goal weight.
  8. I made this over the weekend. I figured it was a good way to get in some veggies. It was wonderful, and very easy. I did one thing differently. I cut the steaks into 6 portions, rather than slicing it into smaller pieces. I think it was easier to portion out the food that way.
  9. Thank you sooo much for bumping this recipe up. I happened to have all the ingredients on hand for this recipe and I made it tonight. All I can say is YUMMMM. Very tasty and very filling.
  10. Hi everyone, I just found Nonni's Biscotti at my local grocery store. I love these. They come in several flavors. I tried "Decadence" which is a dark chocolate almond biscotti dipped in bittersweet chocolate. It's crunchy, and chocolately and only 2 pts. I had one of these with a cup of no sugar added hot chocolate (1pt) and had a great low point chocolate snack on a cold and snowy day. Here is the website, and they do list nutrition info for each of the flavors. http://www.nonnis.com/products/products.html
  11. I had a weight watchers scale that required you to "tap" it to make it work. Make sure you tap firmly in the center (there was a sticker on mine to show you where to do it), and don't get on the scale until you see it flash the 8's and then go to zero. If you step on it before you see the zero, it will turn off. Hope that helps. Debbie
  12. Hi there, 4C makes ice tea, lemonade etc. in the little packets for water bottles. They are made with splenda. http://www.4c.com/Kitchen/totallylight.php I've had the lemonade and the green tea, and I loved them both. I've found them at the regular grocery store, as well as Walmart and Sam's club. Hope that helps.
  13. I am online user and I noticed when I went from being a guest (with a user name and pw) to a paid user, the home page changes. It will allow you to calculate points (on the left side), and you'll see links for the points tracker and recipe builder. Do you see any of that ? If you don't have those, you probably don't have a paying membership. Also, did you check with your credit card company, or bank to see if a charge went through? I know WW was pretty quick to process that debit to my account!
  14. I'm doing WW online, just started back in January and I love it. Honestly, the in-person meetings are too expensive for me, and I would never have been able to sign up if that was the only option. I'm doing great so far online, down almost 12 pounds. I have several friends and my b/f as my support system. They all give me the pat on the back after each weigh in. I'm also not much of a "group person" so I don't think I'd do well at in person meetings.
  15. This recipe sounds great, and looks easy, and uncomplicated. Just my kind of recipe. One question though: Is this a whole boneless chicken breast or a half boneless breast?
