  1. If I were to do a race again, I would start further back in the pack. My pace is slow, and I underestimated how much slower I was than others....so they were probably annoyed trying to get around me. Good luck!
  2. I've never participated before, but I'm intrigued. It doesn't look like there's a lot of interest though.
  3. I made this with Source Exotik yougurt and it is pretty good. I would make it for myself again, but not for a pot luck (the reason I made it today).
  4. It's hard to think that *I've* inspired anyone because it's such an ongoing process. Heck, I'm not inspired sometimes! But hey, if it does help others, that is awesome! Kristi - I started in March of 2008 (well, the most recent and driven attempt)....so a little over a year.
  5. It's taken me longer than I'd like, but I've *finally* lost 75 lbs. I feel a lot healthier and am making better choices (most days). I'm so much more active than I used to be. Anyway, let's get to the pictures! Here are some befores.... And now, 75 lbs lighter. It's not the greatest picture, but you get the idea.
  6. I have a Sansa SanDisk MP3 player and really like it. It has more features and more memory than IPODs in the same price range.
  7. I tried this tonight and it was yummy. A nice big serving. I cut back on the meat though, added some green pepper, onion, and garlic. I think next time I'd skip the cheese on the crust because I didn't really notice it and would rather spread more on the top. My husband (a non-WWer) enjoyed it as well.
  8. I started running when I was 230 lbs. I was never a runner. I hated it in high school. But something told me to give it a shot. I followed the couch to 5K program. I thought I was going to die the first day, but I got through it and felt amazing. I took longer than the alloted 9 weeks, but I did it. It does get easier, but takes time. At some points it was a mental challenge for me. I repeated weeks because I felt like I wasn't ready, and sometimes I didn't need to do that. I WILL be running a 5K in 2009. Right now I'm working on getting my speed up, and lengthening my runs. I too am addicted.
  9. I always thought the cheese slices were higher so I've stayed away....hmm, I may have to check them out next grocery day.
  10. I don't know about technicalities, but if you want to learn to run the couch to 5K program is a great place to start. I completed it a couple of weeks ago and I now *love* to run.
  11. He does. But he's worried about me getting too tiny. I've got a while before he needs to worry about that! But it's funny sometimes because he's noticing that he can feel my bones more when he's touching me or hugging me. Everyone is saying I seem a lot happier too.
