Shannon, you and I not only have the same stats and goals (somewhat) but I don't want my kids teased because of them having a fat mom, either. I couldn't stand to see pictures of myself, it was/is so sad.

I agree that you should get a scale and the serving sizes are for half a breast.

Being of Mexican descent, I know that a lot of the stuff that seems harmless, is actually pretty bad for you. Mexican rice is fried (before broth is added) usually in lard. So are refried beans, so I steer clear from those two choices. I always order the fajitas dry. I tell them NO extra oil and they are happy to oblige. I order corn tortillas and will have about a 1/4 cup of the guacamole. You can also ask for beans 'de la oya' and that means they are just boiled with seasonings and not refried yet. They are yummy! Arroz con pollo is tasty but the rice is fried before the chicken and vegetables are added, that is why the point value is so high.

Hi all, I am Raquel, mom of 4 wonderful kids (Jake, Isabella, Sophia and Jenavieve) and married to Joel. I joined WW about a month ago (tomorrow is my 4th WI). I gained too much weight during my pregnancies and never really got it off like I wished. I really love WW and feel it is a program that I can stay on for the rest of my life. I look forward to getting to know you all.- 2,216 replies

Hi, my name is Raquel, married to Joel and mom of 4. Jake is 13, Isabella is 9, Sophia is 6 and Jenavieve is 18 months. I am through having kids and have decided to focus on me now. I work part time and am a full time baseball mom (there are still games almost every night ). I joined WW the day after Father's Day, after my brother joked about my cannons (my arms) and patted my belly and asked when the baby was due (I am not pregnant). So here I am. I hope to get to know you all and look forward to embarking on my weight loss journey here!
