    ice cream recipes?

If I may add a fast Ice Milk recipe, I mix 1 1/2 cups of Skim Milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 6 tablespoons of Splenda or sugar, or I even mix it half and half, with the Splenda it is all only 3 points ,with the sugar it is 9 Points, that is why I use half Splenda and half sugar, you can also add fruit to the mixture, besure to add the extra point, then freeze in the ice cream freezer, it only takes about 25 minutes. Not to bad either Mona
  7. I found this on a WW site. Pumpkin Pudding Peheat oven to 350* 3/4 cups of sugar, you can use part brown sugar if desired. 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon cloves 2 eggs, lightly beaten 1 3/4 cups canned Pumpkin 12 oz. can of Fat-Free Evaporated Milk Combine sugar ,salt and spices, set aside. Beat eggs lightly in a large bowl, stir in Pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour mixture into 7 custard cups and bake in a water bath (pan with water just under the level of the top of the custard cups) at 350* degrees for about 45 minutes, OR until set. Top with Cool Whip Lite if disired, adding the points for it too. One Serving- 2.5 points Mona
  8. I thought so to "gg" but it was in an older WW cookbook, and that is counting the rice, but in our Supermarket Companion it says that 4oz. of beef liver and onions(homemade) is 7 points so I guess thats is about right if you add in the points for the rice, of course you might not want to have rice with yours, it is the only one I have found, I will keep looking Mona ------------------ Mona (monaj48) 171/ 144.2 141WW /135 Personal Be courageous and be brave and in my heart you'll always stay, Forever Young Lyrics from Rod Stewarts Hit "Forever Young"
  9. This makes two servings 1 cup each sliced onions(separated into rings)and bell peppers(rings) 1/2 teaspoon marjoram leaves 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt Dash ground pepper 10 ounces calf liver, thinly sliced 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon reduced-calorie margarine 1 1/2 cup cooked long-grain rice (hot) Spray 10" nonstick skillet with cooking spray(Pam,etc);add onion and bell pepper rings and cook, stirring occasionally, just until tender.Remove vegetables from skillet and sprinkle with marjoram;set aside and keep warm. On a sheet of wax paper or a paper plate combine flour, salt, and black pepper;dredge liver in seasoned flour, using the entire mixture to coat all sides of liver slices. In same skillet heat margarine until bubbly and hot ;add liver and saute briefly( just until golden brown on both sides). Remove liver to serving platter and top with onion and pepper rings.Serve on rice. Per Serving: 495 Calories,34grams protein,11 fat,425 cholesterol. It is from an older WW cookbook and has no fiber listed, but do the math to see how many points this will be .If you serve it on brown rice, I am sure you will have more fiber. 11. This was taken from the recipe files at www.debbiescorner.com, I don't know who sent it in, but thank you who ever you are Mona Peanut Butter Brittle, 1.5 pts. each serving. 1 TBS.each granulated sugar and Light Corn Syrup. 1 1/2 tsp. water 2 TBS. Chuncy Style Peanut Butter,( I used reduced fat Peter Pan to lower the points to 1.5 each portion) 1/2 tsp.Baking Soda In a metal measuring cup or other small flame proof container, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water; cook over medium-low heat ,stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and sugar is dissolved. Reduce heat to very low and let simmer , stirring occasionally, until mixture is reduced slightly and thickened, about 15 minutes(I think that is a little to long since I had a hard time mixing in the soda, next time I am stopping at 12 minutes to see if that works better.Watch very carefully so mixture does not burn! Add peanut butter and cook and stirring constantly, until PB is melted and thoroughly combined; sprinkle with baking soda and stir until soda is completely absorbed(mixture may "Puff" slightly) Pour PB mixture onto a clean smooth cutting board;let stand until slightly cooked. Using a rolling pin, roll mixture onto a six inch square;cut into 4 equal portions and transfer to a wire rack.Brittle can be frozen if desired. At serving time each piece may then be broken into smaller pieces. Oven"Fried"Onion Rings 2 cups sliced onions(separated into rings) 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 3/4 ounce(5 tablespoons)cornflake crumbs 1)Preheat oven to 450*F. In medium mixing bowl combine the onions and oil; stir to thoroughly coat.Add cornflake crumbs and toss to coat. 2)Spray nonstick baking sheet with spray Pam or one of your choice., spread onion mixture on the sheet.Bake ,turning frequently, until onion rings are crisp and browned, about 20 minutes. 14. Ann, I would not have guessed the fact about adding the powdered milk, this one I will be trying, I have the recipe for the 1 point microwave brownie here on the dessert thread, I'll try adding the milk and see if it "calms"the bite of the yogurt in the brownie, Mona ------------------ Mona (monaj48) 171/ 154 141WW /135 Personal Be courageous and be brave and in my heart you'll always stay, Forever Young Lyrics from Rod Stewarts Hit "Forever Young"
