    Lasagna recipe?

One more add on I took a quick look at the Hungry Girl site and found the following recipe: http://www.hungry-girl.com/chew/chewdetails.php?isid=1881 Looks like she used eggplant for that one instead of zuchinni.

    Lasagna recipe?

Hey Christi, When I want to make a lower calorie/fat lasagna I break it down into parts: pasta, cheese, sauce and then have a go at it from there. So how ca you make a lower calorie sauce? First use less. Then try different versions of either diced tomatoes (if you like it chunky) or more finely ground tomatoes. Instead of adding oil, add spices. For the cheese, again use less. Then try to find a lower fat version of traditional cheeses. I know the laughing cow cheese pieces are a big hit right now although they don't come in a lasagna convenient shape. Last comes the pasta. For this I have two ideas. I would use the new FiberGourmet Lasagna noodles since they have 18g of fiber and are lower in calories than normal noodles. Or alternatively I would use big 'ol slices of zucchini - sounds weird, but It is surprisingly satisfying. -lindasdd P.S. not everyone likes it, but I would top it off with some Low Carb Bread
  4. I was just about to suggest that. I keep meaning to try either the House Foods Shirataki Noodles or Miracle Noodles in a recipe like this as well.
  5. Haha. That was actually pretty funny.
  6. As a retailer that has carried the Lesser Evil snacks off and on I can tell you the reason they don't carry them is definitely slow sales As good as they are, often people aren't interested due to the high price tag that comes with the Lesser Evil snacks. That being said, sometimes Costco has the reeeeaaallly big bags so if you are a member there check around. Another option for the Krinkle Sticks is that Glenny's makes the American Fries. Same style of snack. Not all supermarkets carry them though, as opposed to the Glenny's Spud Delites or Soy Crisps.
  7. I'd have to agree that the texture takes some...getting used to. But, as long as you rinse them as instructed you should be able to get rid of the smell which is the tofu brine they are packaged in. When I'm eating them, I like to pair them with a sauce, possibly Alfredo, and usually made by Walden Farms..mmmm, 0 claories makes even bad things taste good. -lindasdd
  8. If you really can't find them anywhere, then check out the link in my signature. Not only do they sell Vitalicious products, but the shipping on your first order will be inexpensive since they are offerring a $5 gift certificate to all new customers. I have to let you know beforehand though that I am the owner of the store. I'm just hoping my shameless plug will have some actual benefit for you. -lindasdd
