  1. As long as there is no added sauces or fat, any number of servings of veggies are zero points. You don't have to add points once you get past 5 servings. Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  2. When I'm really low on points for dinner, I like to saute some veggies (broccoli, green peppers, onions, mushrooms) and wrap them up in a huge Flat Out light wrap (1 pt) It's terrifically filling and I really enjoy it. The other option sometimes is just a nice egg white omelet with tons of veggies (I love my veggies!). Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  3. Waaaaaaaaaaaaa . . . I've heard so much about the Peanut Butter Bliss bars and they don't carry them in my area! I usually don't spend the $$ on the bars because they are $6 a box in our area!!! But I forgot about the Luna bars that come in lemon and figured the Lemon Dreams were the only low point lemon bar I could get. Gotta go out to find me a Luna bar! 4. Oh, and I've also asked for substitutions and have had no problem with getting them. When I asked about how they are so sure about the points values, I was told that the food is prepared on a separate grill and they have their own measuring tools to make sure it's accurate. I do not believe it's prepackaged food. JMHO Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  5. I'm sorry that your experience was bad. I've been to various different Applebee's and it definitely seems like the quality of food is not a constant between them. Some are very good, others are awful! The one I go to is great. I eat there with some other WW friends every week after our meeting. I've tried EVERYTHING and though I have my favorites (Tortilla Chicken Melt), I haven't found one that I didn't like! 6. Oh my gosh!!!! They are by far my favorite! I mean the chocolate ones are good, but the caramel ones are just the best!!!! Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  7. I had read in Prevention magazine that the recommended amount of water is to take your body weight (in lbs) and divide that by 2. The result is the number of ounces you should drink. For me that would be 65 oz of water daily. I could probably do that. But I follow Weight Watchers' guidelines . . . 48 ounces of water daily. It seems reasonable to follow. Sometimes I get a bit more, but I don't worry about it. Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  8. What I love about your idea is that it puts the responsibility directly where it belongs - on us! We are the captains of our journey and we decide the direction (and misdirection) we take! I'm going to try this next time I falter! Thanks! Joyce Your body keeps a meticulous journal even if you don't! http://jemsbyjoyce.ecrater.com/
  9. Has anyone see the new Applebee's Dessert Shooters. They are little glasses with just a bit of dessert: Apple caramel, chocolate mousse, key lime pie, strawberry cheesecake and Choc. fudge sundae. I was able to take a glass home and they measure 6 oz. filled to the top. The desserts filled them to about 4 oz. worth. I was out with friends and we each got a flavor. I'm guessing between 3-5 points for any one of them . . . and they were GOOD!!!!
  10. I can't find that in my area . . . but the Litehouse light salsa ranch dressing is sooo good I would love to stick a straw in the jar and just suck it up! LOL Instead I measure it out for everything from salads to sandwiches and I get 2 tbsp. for only 1 point!
  11. And most doctors get a whopping one week of nutrition education! Actually speaking to your doctor is a very good idea. It is Weight Watchers' position officially that members should not lose weight that quickly.
  12. I agree with you! Crystal Light does use aspartame. I drink Diet Rite soda (with Splenda) or a new soda called Waist Watchers. And there are new fruit water drinks out that contain no aspartame. (sorry I don't have any here and I can't remember the name of them)
  13. > For it to be Core - you have to drain the pineapple.
  14. I'm a leader and I can assure you that I would WANT to know if one of the staff was saying those kinds of things to a member! Just pull the leader aside and tell her what happened. I'm sure that she will appreciate finding out. Now whether she can actually make this person behave or not - I don't know. But I think the recourse of calling the 800# is another great idea (I have a few receptionists that I WISH a member would call and complain about!!)
  15. Rest assured, Lisa. I've spoken to several managers and also some of the staff that works the kitchen. They are being VERY careful about portions. The spray the veggies with EXACTLY four squirts of ICBINB spray! And they cook on a separate grill and have special WW measuring cups, etc. . .
