  1. Hi helenaw! Welcome! I am back too for similar reasons. Lost 90 lbs and have gained back 20. We will be losers together! Nice to meet you! - Emily
  2. HI guys! I am an ooooold timer member (not literally, I am 26) but I did ww about 6 years ago and lost 90 lbs with a ton of help from bb. Well, I have gained back about 20 lbs and lost a lot of muscle. Sooo... I am back to get back on track! Woohoo! I will be tracking and counting the old way, since that is what I am familiar with and I don't want to pay to join. Nice to meet all the new people, and I look forward to interacting with all of you. - Emily
  3. Thank you everyone!! I am feeling great!
  4. Woot woot!!! Let's go, black team!!! Time to butt on our weight loss efforts!

  6. Aw thanks guys! Clothes shopping is definitely more enjoyable. And I'm no longer running for my life away from a camera. But, Lorraine, like you said, I am feeling a lot better as well! The health benefits alone have been worth it. My skin and hair are so much better (I used to have terrible eczema, now it flares up once in a while but NEVER as bad as it used to be). Also, my asthma is a TON better. I can sleep through the night without needing my inhaler. I have been running on the treadmill! Which was unthinkable a year and a half ago. I used to get migraines about once a week. Now I only get them about once a month. Hopefully this will be the last motivational push I need to reach my goal. It's taken me a LONG time to lose this weight but goshdarnit I will reach 135 or BUST!
  7. Woohoo!! Today I hit my 50 pounds lost mark (actually, 51 pounds lol). I still have 27 more to go, but I am AMAZED at the difference!! I hope you all will be, too!! I just had to share. This was me before at a hefty 213 pounds, I was a size 18 in jeans and barely fitting into a 2X shirt: Aaaaand this is me after! Now I am 162 pounds, and I wear a size 12 jeans (a little tight yet) and size Medium shirt!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :bcbkickbu:bcbkickbu
  8. AMANDA! Those pics are AMAZING! What state do you live in? I love the mountains. It's beautiful! No wonder you love hiking so much. I would love it more, too, if I lived somewhere that gorgeous!
  9. New to playing the Biggest Loser on here... but not new to weightloss! Count me in. I don't have a team preference! So whatever works! I don't know how this whole thing works... is there a guidepost or rule-post on here somewhere?
  10. Congrats!! That is inspiring! I've recently started running, and it is really hard. But hearing from you the things it's done for you, it is really motivating!! Keep it up!
  11. AWESOME!!! You are a total inspiration! How do you feel being at your WW goal?? I bet it feels GREAT!
  12. It's very very VERY important for you to eat every point in your daily points target. Because of the science WW uses, your body needs it. WW makes sure that you get the lowest number of calories but eat enough to keep your metabolism the highest possible. If you mess that up by eating too little or too much, it unbalances your calories vs. metabolism. Then, your metabolism will slow down and you will stop losing weight, or your body will freak out about not getting enough calories to function through the day and hold onto food, which makes you gain weight. So eat those 1 or 2 points! As you go down in weight and you have to eat less, you will miss them!!
  13. I don't like iTunes... it's confusing. I also have all of my music on Windows media player. So I got a Phillips mp3 player 2 years ago, that cost at least $100 less than the equivalent ipod. Phillips is a pretty trustworthy brand, I like mine. And it was compatible with a variety of music types, including Windows media player. It was easy to hook up to my laptop, and is easy to understand and use.
  14. I was having the same problem on a smaller scale. I made the decision to turn around, no matter what it took. I started by doing ONE thing at a time. For instance: the first week, I focused on JUST eating my points. That's it. Make it through the meal, the day, the week. The next week, after I successfully at just my points for the week, I focused on exercising 3 days 30 minutes along with eating my points. The next week I added in my water. And each consecutive week that I successfully did whatever I had did before, I added something new. If I stumbled on one thing, I focused on that each week until I did it successfully. Weight loss is not a race and it's not about being perfect. Focus on what you CAN and DO already instead of what you're failing at. Even one new thing has a ripple effect on our bodies. YOU CAN DO THIS!
  15. Are you measuring? Because if you're measuring, you might see a difference even if the scale doesn't. How do your clothes feel? How do YOU feel? I was on a plateau for like 2 months where the scale wouldn't budge. But I lost a pants size. Sometimes it takes a while for your body to adjust to losing the weight.
