I signed up for WW Online & although I don't have the approval of my obstetrician to restart WW yet (5 weeks post delivery), I'm expecting the ok next week & have at least started journaling & trying to familiarize myself with the plan. I am breastfeeding but supplementing because of low milk supply. In fact, if I had to guess, I'd say my baby is getting probably 90-95% of his food from formula. But I figure a little breastmilk is better than none. Anyway, I have a huge number of points. I know some of this is due to the breastfeeding points & I don't want to dent my milk supply any further by not eating them all, but short of eating junk or a lot of fat, I seriously don't see how I'm going to eat all these points. Do I need to eat all my daily points? I thought I saw a post somewhere where you don't have to if you're not hungry. And can someone explain how the breastfeeding points work please?
  2. And, on the flip side, if you're stil trying to lose, and you see someone at the meeting who you don't know, and they're fit and trim, do they stick out like a sore thumb to you? Well they do stand out. I don't know about the sore thumb part. Does it make you wonder what they're doing there? No I figure they've lost their weight. Does it annoy you that they're there? No - I think it's motivating. If only overweight people went to meetings, I'd wonder if WW worked.

  5. i'm back - just had a baby a month ago. I'm waiting for the green light from my obstetrician before I officially rejoin. But lurking to get motivated in the meantime, as if this little one wasn't motivating enough. Or the gestational diabetes I got in the 3rd trimester - blech.
  6. Hello! I'm on my way to returning to WW & BCB. I had my beautiful son one month ago & I'm ready to get back on track for a more healthy me. I'm just waiting for the official ok from my obstetrician to rejoin since I developed gestational diabetes in the 3rd trimester. But I got a diet for that & I'm hoping I can use some of those concepts when I get the green light.
  7. I misplaced my Simply the Best cookbook & was wondering if someone had the recipe for the Greek chicken. It had cinnamon in it. And couscous. That's about all I remember.

  9. Melody - the plan has changed some since you left. I know bc I made Liftime in 2001. And when I came back, there were changes to the points, like not doing ranges anymore. Anyway, I struggle with digestive issues, too. It has taken some experimentation, but I've had to learn what works for my digestive system. Healthy oils are a good way to get extra points in - are you eating those? I've also used smoothies when I wasn't well enough to eat solid food (or couldn't handle it). You can control what goes in those, and the base can give you extra points. I have trouble with veggies, too, but I've learned that cooking them makes a tremendous difference. Soup is also a great option. There are a lot of great soup recipes on the Vegetarian Times website. Also, make sure you are getting enough water - it makes a huge difference. And eat throughout the day - are you skipping any meals? You might also find some good information at the Natural Bias website.
  10. Basically, when you get into another "decade" of weight, you drop a point. But you're supposed to take the quiz periodically to make sure nothing else has changed on it either. If your leader is telling you to do something outside of program, I don't agree with that.
  11. Oil is good for "regularity." If I don't get enough oil, my skin gets drier than usual, too.
  12. 2 Points: ~French toast made with egg whites & bread (2 slices for 1 point). Zero calorie syrup. ~WW oatmeal.
