  1. So glad you like the site. It was a big help for me when I was losing, and now during maintenance. It's easy to find people who've gone through the same struggles as you and have advice or just someone to listen to!

I remember when you first started on WW and BCB and were ultra dedicated and motivated. Neither of those have waned at all and your progress is a prime example!   6. I think the tomatoes take away the "stuffing taste", honestly. I think it's more for texture and filler than anything. That's why I use the bread mix instead of the actual boxed stuffing mix, it's not nearly as strong.
  7. I usually only counted the Windsor 20 minute Beginner as 1 AP. I don't sweat, and I never really got "winded." I count the full workout as 2 AP's. WTG getting back "on the wagon!" (And congrats on being a new mom!)
  8. Just throwing my 2 cents in here: We used to eat Grape Nuts hot growing up - it was the only way. Boil milk and add the grape nuts, add some cinnamon and sugar and let them cook away for a few minutes. Yum-o! Being "grown up" now, I eat them cold (and hot when I am awake enough to cook them - weekends usually). You can nuke them for the same result though. I wonder if the Ezekiel would work the same way...

  10. Thanks for the imput. I've tried the Flatout wraps and didn't care for them when using in the sandwich arena. The texture was off to me. However, if you cut them up into triangles and toast them in the oven with some salt and pepper, maybe some garlic, they make GREAT chips. I like to crumble them onto a salad or for a dip. I haven't had the Hormel deli meats yet, but I love the Hillshire Farms Selects - they are $2.50 at Walmart for a container, or $1.89 for a box. They are 1 pt for 6 pieces of ham, turkey, chicken or roast beef. Really good! Blackbeard- haen't seen that ICBINB yet but I am going to keep an eye out for it.
  11. Made this last night and it's a definite :bcb_up . Very easy and very filling. Bruschetta Chicken Bake 1 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed of visible fat and cut into bite size pieces 1 can (14.5 oz) diced Tomatoes, Undrained 2 cloves of fresh galic, chopped (or 1 tsp garlic powder) 2 tbls dried basil leaves (I substituted Italian Seasoning) 6 oz Pepperidge Farm Herbed Stuffing Mix, whole grain or wheat mix 2/3 c water 1 c Part Skim Mozzarella cheese, shredded Combine tomatoes, garlic, seasoning, stuffing mix and water. In a baking dish, layer the cubes of chicken, followed by half of the stuffing mix, and half of the cheese. Repeat. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Makes 6 servings (approx 1 c each) for 6 points.

    I am a few days late, but I just wanted to say Wow. I said it out loud when I read your stats and story...you've lost an entire person and that is beyond IMPRESSIVE. Maintenance has it's own challenges, but I am sure you will shine through and keep on chugging, given your already apparent unwaivering dedication and strength. Congrats Congrats Congrats! I just can't say it enough! Congrats!!
  13. Lynn - I really appreciate this post - it came at a good time. I have really been fighting lately with my PGW vs. my WW GW and CW. I set my WW goal at 145, but realized after a few weeks that I could lose more, so I continued to do so. I am currently ranging btw 135- 137 lbs and have stopped losing, but am maintianing. I am finally realizing that this is a very maintainable weight for me, and I think my body is trying to tell me that. It's just hard to say to myself..."SELF, it's time to stop losing and work on purposley maintaining." It would be nice to really keep plugging away at losing, just to see my lowest achievable weight - but knowing me, I would actually end up wanting to stay there, and would get frustrated when I couldn't maintain it. I think that is a dangerous path that some members try to venture out on... I do understand also where Kimberly is coming from when she talks about the current v. long term. How do you say where you will be and what you will want/be willing to do in 2, 6, 12 months?
  14. Sarah - I am curious too about the "liquid" thing. I find that drinking caffeine actually makes me thirst-ier...maybe it's a good thing so I will drink more water! (And also be running to the ladies room every 10 minutes too!) My plan is to actually count points for the first 5 weeks and wait for week 6 to come out, with everyone else. I was itching to get back to core, but reading some of the successes on the ww board with the first weeks of momentum, I am curious to see what success I will have. I miss core...or simply filling..whatever it is now!
  15. I hope you all don't mine me jumpin' in here too...I followed core for a good while and found it to be great for me. I went to my meeting this morning and my leader (who I adore and find to be super supportive) said (after she had said "core won't really exist anymore" and like 5 of us freaked out) "well, I guess I should put it this way...Flex and Core got together and had a kid. It's kind of like a conglomerate of both now...more to come on that in the weeks to come..." She told anyone who was a hardcore Core follower to come see her after the meeting (I didn't have time to stay ), but she asked us ALL to count points with the new tracker for 1 week...to see what we think. She said next week we would discuss our thoughts...I am intrigued to see what people figure out. I like that she challenged EVERYONE to put their hesitations about the new program aside and just do it for 1 week without complaint or questioning... I too am in suspense until we can "fully" talk about it on here tomorrow too!
  16. I second what Darlene said....it wasn't a few extra large apples that got my fat in the first place! I say just make your best, personal, judgement.
  17. I am not in Cali, but I recommend checking your store brand "lite" breads. We have Wegmans here, their breads are excellent, and only 1 pt for 2 pieces...they also make burger and dog buns. Sometimes the store brands will surprise you, and for a lesser price. Good luck in your hunt!
  18. Christen - I like the SW salad from McD's too...watch the chicken though, it is marinated pretty heavily so it isn't core.
  19. That line actually gave me chills. I printed it and am going to keep it by my bedside and say it to myself every night and every morning! I think that the "right now" part is huge..it' really re-iterates our OM-OH-OD thought processes. Thank you!
  20. I do agree with Danny. That's part of WW...flexibility. It shouldn't be an all the time thing, but as long as you are getting your water, f/v and oils in, get your splurge in before it becomes and "obsession." (Good word for it, Des.) If you don't allow yourself the things you want sometimes, you are much more likely to binge down the road. A piece of fried chicken once won't be detrimental, like a major binge could be. Just control yourself...stop at the set limit, count the points, get your H8's in and move on. Just don't make it a habit!
