  1. Judy, I am well. I've had a cold for a bit but I'm working out after work at the local park and playing with my daughter there. Play is exercise if you allow yourself to forget it's work. :) I am so glad that you are back. I didn't get this message until after I had already posted on our thread. Like I said there, "Welcome Home!" We have an amazing thread with committed friends, sisters in the losing cause. ;) or should I say, the cause of losing weight?

  6. Hey there, count me in. My May goal is to sart building some muscle on all of this flab, (Sorry TMI) I've been OP in every area BUT exercise and so that causes me NOT to be OP.

Don't give up and find a thread that you can get involved with, there are so many out there and so many encouraging people who will help us to reach our goals. Just keep reminding yourself that you can do this...

  10. Laura! Look at the beautiful woman that you are! I'll bet your girls just see their beautiful mommy and they don't realize the change that their mommy sees. You are such an inspiration to the rest of us!:bcb_bravo:bcb_bravo It's such an understatement, but you are incredible!
  11. YES, I am anxious! I have only eaten brown rice for many years now, but I am still in the habit of "getting it over with" I constantly forget about pacing and remind myself as I am eating and then ... Viola! I am rushing through it again, and then I remind my self to pace myself and Viola! I am rushing through again. Actually, it's quite funny but I am still going to try this until I reach that goal of pacing myself. Right now, I am being trated for a gallbladder attack so I am not really OP as much as I could be...
  12. I made this the other night. I asked my DD if she liked it her response was, "Are you kidding? I had 2 bowls!" It's a good thing that I doubled the recipe. It was delicious.
  13. I have become so aware of my eating, however, I still haven't mastered (or come close) to that moment where I am enjoying the textures and flavors. I am still trying to pace myself or at least count a second per bite. It's hard where you're used to plowing through...
  14. I am too busy looking forward to the next bite. It is more like a deep breath, or that is what I experienced anyways. Now my problem is being willing to throw the rest of my food away. I felt that deep breath with each meal yesterday BUT (always a big BUT) I couldn't throw the rest of ot away. Now, that is surprisingly hard for me. I still can't do the 40 minute meal though. I am still eating too quickly, though I am so very aware of it. I am thinking that I should make my portions much smaller and go from there...
