  1. I need to buy properly fitting bras which offer full coverage and support. Are there good stores/brands you can recommend? For some reason the manufacturers think if you have a smaller size you don't need a modest bra.

  4. How do they calculate "miles" on an elliptical machine? I do 4 miles a day but it feels much easier than a 4 mile run. Also, what's the consensus on the calories stated on EM? I hear that they are way overstated but I don't have any cites or proofs for the claim.
  5. 460 cal on elliptical. I have a few questions on elliptical machines. Will post another thread.
  6. I use both and like them both. If I were to buy for my home, I would buy an elliptical. A good quality tm costs way more than a good quality em. Also, you can always run outside but you can't replicate elliptical low impact motion without the em. Also, if you live in an apartment, em is less noisy than tm. You can watch TV or not wake up a baby etc.
  7. 450 cals on elliptical. I need to get out of this machine and start running again. Tomorrow is the day!

  9. 3.5 miles on elliptical, 6 minutes on rowing machine. Total 450 calories.
  10. I'm a vegetarian. though I don't believe that we need a whole lot of protein for sustenance, I do need ideas on how to incorporate more protein into my snacks. I get hungry often because my snacks have little protein in it. Any ideas are appreciated for vegetarian low calorie protein snacks. Thanks.
  11. I did actually collapse once. It was a very chilly sunday morning and I didn't dress properly for the weather. I realized my mistake and turned around after 1.5 miles. By the time I was about 200 ft away from home I blacked out. I was sweating and I had to sit down. I literally crawled to my house. After DH opened the door I crawled in and collapsed in the family room. DH gave me orange juice and it took me a good half an hour to get normal. I think it's a combination of hypothermia and hypoglycemia that day. These things do happen. It's good idea to have a disaster plan especially if you're planning a long run. Of course money wouldn't have helped me that day because but cell phone would've.
  12. 4 miles at an incline on treadmill. Weight still hanging there.
  13. Thump (that's the sound of me jumping back on the wagon). I didn't workout at all the past 4 days (except for that one mile walk yesterday). Today I did 2 miles on treadmill and 2 miles outside in the fabulous Texas spring weather. Then I realized what I've been missing. The scale still steady at 147.
