  1. I made this recipe tonight for me and a friend after a long hot day outside with the kids, they were yummy and only 2 points for 2 big glasses... Thanks for the recipe.
  2. hi there, I just inputed my info into a points calculator and came out with 6 points/per serving. I added a whole package of veggie noodles, makes 6 servings 1 can of flaked tuna 1 can of condensed 1/2 fat mushroom soup 1 can peas 6 sliced mushrooms chopped green onion 3 slices ff cheese Split the whole thing into 6 servings and it works out to be 6 points per serving which is about 1 1/2 - 2 cups per serving which is alot Shayla
  3. I make tuna casserole and again I estimate it by adding all the ingredients together then dividing by the number of servings it makes. I use veggie pasta, enough to make 4 cups of cooked pasta, when it is almost cooked I pour the whole thing including the water into a casserole dish and add 1 can of half fat mushroom soup, 1 can tuna packed in water (drained) and 1 cup of frozen peas and 1 cup sliced mushrooms. Mix all together and bake for about 1/2 hr. It makes about 6 servings and I estimate it to be about 4-5 points per serving which is about 1 1/2 cups and is very filling and very yummy...... The trick to keeping it from being dry is including the water that you cooked your pasta in. Shayla
  4. this totally sounds like heal spurs which are an inflammation of the tendons there. You need to back off of the running and ice your foot to reduce the inflammation and maybe see your Dr. You probably need to get a really good pair of "running" shoes and this makes all the difference in the world. I had heel spurs for about 3-4 months and they were horrible. I backed off of the exercise intensity and bought a really good pair of shoes and I no longer have the problem. If you don't take care of this it can lead to the poing where you need to take cortisone injections to help with the inflammation so maybe go and see your Dr. and don't push too hard.
  5. 120 Hr is good for maintaining your overall health but will not really improve your cardiovasular system. If you go at that HR you need to go for a longer period of time to get the benefits however that being said, I do not know your current level of fitness. I would stick with what your Dr. has said and when you find that it takes longer or a harder intensity to increase your HR then talk to your Dr. again about where to go from there. The more you exercise the better you will get believe me. If you are able to walk for 5-7 days it is better than 3 days and you will see faster improvements but do not push yourself too hard too fast or you will just injure yourself and set yourself back.

This is another one that I made and just had to share...... low if points and oh so yummy 2 pkg light lemon jelly powder 2 c boiling water 1/2 c cold water 1 1/2 c skim milk 1 pkg (4 serv) ff instant vanilla pudding mix 1/2 tsp nutmeg 2 c light thawed cool whip Dissolve jelly powder in boiling water. Stir in cold water and cool to room temp Pour milk into another bowl and add pudding mix. Whisk with wire whisk for 30 seconds and immediately stir into cooled jelly and stir until smooth. Stir in nutmeg and refridgerate for 1 1/2 hrs until slightly thickened Stir in whipped topping with wire whisk until smooth and creamy. Pour into 10 individual dessert dishes or cut tops off of fresh lemons and scoop out with spoon and fill with the lemon mixture. All for a grand total of 1.5 points per serving If you use ff cool whip you may be able to get it to 1 point per serving but I like the light best. Enjoy
  8. I made this and it was sooooo yummy. I hope you all enjoy it too. 1pkg Jello light strawberry jelly powder 2/3 c boiling water 2 c ice cubes 1 tub (1LTR) thawed light cool whip 1 c crushed fresh strawberries 1 prepared chocolate or graham wafer pie crust Dissolve jelly powder into boiling water. Add ice cubes and stir constantly until jelly starts to thicken 3-5 min. Remove any unmelted ice Whisk in whipped topping until smooth. Fold in fruit. Chill in fridge until thick (15-20min) Spoon into crust and chill 3 hrs Makes 8 servings at 4 points each ** You can make this less points if you use the ff cool whip but I like the light best***
  9. I made the apple spice receipe with regular apple pie mix not the lite version and it came out to 3 points per serving. It was wonderful and I had to give 1/2 away or I would have eaten the whole thing myself
  10. I tried the mini chocolate cheesecakes that WW had posted, it uses Cottage cheese instead Creamed cheese and they are very point friendly - only 1 point each. Now I found that they did not satisfy my cheesecake craving since they just didn't taste like cheesecake but they were a good little snack.

I made this last night to take to work for valentines day and it is so yummy. 1 box of one step angel food cake 3 cups sliced strawberries 1 cup fozen or fresh blueberries 2 tblsp brown sugar ff cool whip take 2 of the 3 cups of strawberries along with the blueberries and brown sugar and place in a container with a lid. Place in the frige and let sit for at least 2 hours. Make the cake as directed on the box and let cool completley. Cut the cake in half horizontley. Put a very light layer of cool whip on the bottom half and layer with some fresh sliced strawberries. Replace the top half of the cake and spread another thin layer of cool whip. Top off with the strawberry/blueberry mixture in the fridge, serve and eat. Each 1 serving (1/12 of the cake) is 3.5 points and is so yummy
  15. Here is one that I make. I make it in a 12 muffin tin pan hence making 12 servings and I top it off with a small amount of fruit spead or sf jam and they are sooooo yummy. I can't get ff cream cheese so I used the light and it came out to 2 points per serving. 1/2 Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs 16 oz Fat Free Cream Cheese 1/2 cup Sugar (splenda is no points) 1 Tbsp Flour 1/2 cup Fat Free Sour Cream 3 egg whites 1 tsp Vanilla Oven preheat to 325 degrees. Spray pie pan or plate with Pay or similar spray. Cover bottom of pan with crumbs evenly. Beat in separate bowl cream cheese, sugar and flour. Beat in sour cream, egg whites and vanilla. Pour mixture into pie pan. Bake 40 minutes. Cool in refrigerator three hours or more. Makes 8 (2 pt) servings

    You are very welcome I just posted 2 pumpkin receipes on the breads and grains board that you may be interested in. The muffins are a bit heavy but both taste wonderful with a little spoon full of ff coolwhip.

    Pumpkin Cookies?

    Hi Shannon I found a receipe for pumpkin cookies that you may like 1 c canned pumpkin 1 c sugar ( I split with 1/2 splenda and 1/2 sugar) 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce 1 egg 2 c white flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1 tsp milk 1 tsp vanilla Mix wet and dry in seperated bowls. Add wet to the dry and add the baking soda mixture, mix well. Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 375 for 15 min. 30 cookies = 1 point each Hope this helps
  19. I modified 2 receipes that my friend had and they taste good, not as good as the high sugar/fat version but pretty close. Pumpkin muffins: 4 egg whites 1 c white sugar 1 c splenda 1 1/2 c unsweetened applesauce 1 1/2 c canned pumpkin 3 c white flour 1 tblsp cinnnamon 2 tsp baking soda 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt Mix wet and dry ingredients seperatley and then add the wet to the dry and mix well. Fill muffin tin 2/3 full and bake at 400 for 15 min Makes 24 muffins I figured out to be 2 points each but not positive! Pumpkin Cake 4 egg whites 1 c unsweetened applesauce 1 c white sugar 1 c splenda 1 1/2 c canned pumpkin 2 c white flour 2 tsp baking pwoder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking soda 2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp ginger 1/2 tsp cloves 1/2 tsp nutmeg Mix wet into dry ingredients and blend well. Pour into 2 9" cake pans that have been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and lightly floured. Bake at 350 for 25-30min. I figured that for 24 servings it would be 1.5 points per serving?   21. Judging froom the information provided it would still work out to 1 point per slice if you made 2 loaf pans and got 9 serving from each one so there would be no point difference. I use wholewheat all purpose flour.
  22. The Turbidano sugar is less points but I am not sure by how much, maybe someone could run it through Mastercook for you using 1/2 and 1/2..

Here are the baking instructions, Spray 12 serving muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray, preheat oven to 425 Mix dry ingredients and wet in seperate bowls then add the wet to the dry and mix. Place in muffin tin, and bake for 12-15 minutes makes 12 large filling muffins and from the info you gave me that would work out to 3 points per muffin, I think that I will knock out some of the chocolate chips though, maybe just 2 tblsp next time and it should bring it down to 2 or 2.5 points? I think I will also make these with some frozen blueberries with the banana instead of using chocolate chips and it should be 2 points per muffin then, off to go shopping now for more ingredients........   25. I love this receipe with any thing mint so I bought a bag of mint chocolate chips and I am going to add 2 tblsp (3points) to the receipe which brings it up to 21 points or only 1.2 points per slice and I will let you know how it turns out
